Before starting the description, we have to and we love to introduce you to the person from whom this wonderful botanical route was born. Roberto del Val, forester of the area, DGA worker, great person and best lover of nature, animals and plants.
His calm and horizontal voice did not agree to the idea, where the town hall of Almonacid, part of the town's neighbors, friends of Zaragoza and Casa Rural Lola, participated in the cleaning and creation of this route.

Our route along the Botanical Trail of the Sierra de Algairén begins at “Plaza San Nicolás” (598 m.) [1] of Almonacid de la Sierra, located in the center of this town, where we will arrive in our own vehicles, and where we have "the Church", "El Mercáu", "La Fuente la Plaza" and restaurants, and from where we will walk looking for "the wine houses Street".
We will begin climbing while we will be crossing several crossroads where we will always continue straight entering an area of excavated caves in the subsoil where formerly, and still sometimes, the must of the pressed grapes that were collected in the vineyards, rested until they become wine
We will leave the cemented part at a crossroads to continue along a path that, by flattening, will make us pass at 7 ′ [417 m.], Through “el Nevero” (626 m.) [2], which is the point where the inhabitants of this town stored the fallen snow between alternate layers of straw for own consumption and external sale of the surpluses, and that was restored in 1998.
We will leave the town center of Almonacid de la Sierra by “the Camino la Hermana”, asphalted, flattening between olive trees, almond trees, vineyards and cherry trees reaching, shortly, “the Barranco Primero” where we will turn left, without crossing the ravine, “ the Val de Garzón Way ”, to flatten for a minute crossing, now yes, this ravine and starting a steep climb between olive and almond trees, to leave on the left, in about four minutes, a path that goes into“ the Sister ” and, in continuous ascent between vineyards and almond trees, to reach, in eight minutes more, the crossing with “la Senda'l Prau”.
